Andeluna Torrontés 2010

Clear straw-coloured appearance, a medium-bodied white with white flowers, grapefruit and melon flavours. Hints of butterscotch and white peach. The finish is layered. An overall good torrontes from argentina.

Velvety mouth feel, astringent but warm and full at the same time. Nose is a little chemically, slightly unpleasant but grows on you. It's got complexity, more than I expected, so in teh end it's unusual but well balanced. Some nice melon/pineapple/appleskin sharpness amid the slight darkness from the butterscotch. A very plasing lower-end afternoon white, also would be nice with scallops.
